The Plastic Surgery Group in Zürich, founded by Professor Jian Farhadi, is offering a 6-month clinical Advanced Reconstructive and Aesthetic Breast Surgery Fellowship. The position is open to qualified plastic surgeons or plastic surgery residents in their final year of training wishing to gain a high level clinical experience in all types of Breast Reconstructions and Breast Surgery.

The goal of our fellowship program is to develop future leaders in the field of breast reconstruction. As a fellow, you will have the opportunity to work closely with Professor Farhadi and his team on a daily basis, refining your skills in microsurgery, free flap elevation, breast shaping and positioning, as well as implant- based reconstruction and general breast surgery.
You will actively participate in in- and out-patient services, multi-disciplinary tumor board discussions, ward rounds, and other clinical activities, in close collaboration with Zürich Breast Centre.
Surgery
Fellows will assist in 3-4 lists a week, focusing on reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery
Clinics
Fellows will participate in 1-2 days of clinics per week.
Ward rounds
Fellows will join main surgeons for ward rounds sporadically, as needed.
Research
Participation in clinical research is encouraged and supported.

The Plastic Surgery Group in Zürich performs approximately 180 autologous reconstructions and 100 implant-based reconstructions per year, providing fellows with a diverse and challenging caselAoad.
We accept applications from certified plastic surgeons and plastic surgery residents in their final year of training. Two fellows are accepted each year, starting in January or July, depending on availability of positions. The fellowship program is formally recognized by the Swiss Medical Council (FMH).

Prof. Farhadi, together with Prof. Masia from Barcelona, is the co-director of the European Masters in Breast Surgery. This is a university degree that enables plastic surgeons and breast surgeons to deepen their knowledge in all aspects of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery at 10 European centers.
The London Breast Meeting is an annual congress held in September. Over the course of three days, all aspects of aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery are discussed. More than 40 prominent plastic surgeons from all over the world share their experiences with over 400 delegates. The program is also broadcasted live worldwide, in order to reach and educate surgeons in the most remote locations.
Prof. Farhadi initiated this congress, and it is particularly important to him to collaborate annually with Dr. Marlene See from St. Thomas' Hospital in compiling the scientific program.
